  • Alfred Nobel was born on 21 October 1833 in Stockholm, Sweden, into a family of engineers. He was a chemist, engineer, and inventor. In 1894. 

  • The first Nobel prize awarded on 1901.
  • Nobel Awarded for Outstanding contributions for mankind in Physics, Chemistry, Literature, Peace, Physiology or Medicine, and Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences.
  • The Peace Prize is awarded in Oslo, Norway, while the other prizes are awarded in Stockholm, Sweden.
  • Richard Kuhn, who was forced to decline his Nobel Prize in Chemistry
  • The Norwegian Nobel Committee confirmed that Mahatma Gandhi was nominated for the Peace Prize in 1937–39,The Norwegian Nobel Committee declined to award a prize in 1948, the year of Gandhi's death, on the grounds that "there was no suitable living candidate.
